Thinking about doing your own estate sale or liquidation?
Take my advice…. It’s not worth it. Even when you do it for a living…. Here’s why:
- No matter what the reason for your move is (in our case it was a home renovation), moving is stressful enough. Taking on the staging, pricing, marketing and then the sale itself with the general public is next level.
- Not a sentimental person? Doesn’t matter… there’s still a value AND memory associated with random objects… such as road signs.
- As an estate sale pro with over 500 sales under my belt, just trust me on this one. Hire a company you trust.
I did this as a little test, breaking my own rule per-se (which is the owner not being in the home during the actual estate sale) and 2 minutes into it I was reminded why I had that rule. But… we had a great sale, and now I continue to pack.
